Brodeur files ‘softer’ but still sweeping defamation bill aimed at news media

A defamation bill introduced in the Florida Senate by Republican Jason Brodeur waters down some of the language in the House version, but still keeps most of what would be a major overturning of media outlets’ first amendment rights.
