Death toll could surpass 50 across Florida after Hurricane Ian as search and rescues continue

The Florida Medical Examiners Association reported 24 confirmed deaths as of Saturday afternoon. As many as 10,000 people remain unaccounted for, and more than 10,000 people remain in shelters across the state.
